Educational institutions will be closed two days a week starting Jestha. The Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology has decided to close the educational institutions twice weekly; Sunday and Saturday starting Jestha.
The educational ministry has agreed to offer two days leave to schools, technical educational institutions and universities to be managed by local government, CTEVT and University grants commission respectively.
Except on Saturdays and Sundays, the school will now be open from 10 AM to 4 PM every day. By cutting off a few winter, rainy season, and local leaves, the government has chosen to grant maximum leave for 30 days each year.
On the 14th of Baisakh , the government decided to provide two days leave every week. After consulting with stakeholders, the government has decided to give two days of leave every week to the educational institutions as well.
